PLS - Step x Step

 

Hi there, hope you all had a lovely weekend.  I am stopping by with a new Pretty Little Studio creation using the brand new collection "Treasure Island".  It's gorgeous and has all my favourite colours in it :)

Just a couple of close ups before I share my step x step.

 



1. Firstly, I start with my background.  I placed the Vellum ‘Welcome Aboard’ piece to the left of my page.  I then scrape Gesso on the page.  After this is dry I place a spot stencil down and apply Modelling Paste. I then spray my Shimmerz sprays.

 

 



2. I cut up several pieces of paper to fit underneath my photo.  I distress the edges with a distressing tool.

3. I place my papers down for the photo mat.  Adding the clear sheet and some twine under the photo.  To the left of the photo I also place the stencil and bookmark journaling cards.  At this point I add some Inkingz (watercolours by Shimmerz) to the cards.

 

 

 



4 . I proceed to add more layers with some shells, more twine and leaves around my photo.

 

 





5. I have added flowers now and that cute Vintage Diecut Davy Jones.  I also cut out and Anchor and distressed the edges and placed on the left hand side of the page.

6.  At this point a few more shells are added to the beachy feel.  I cover my photo with a scrap piece of paper and proceed to add more Shimmerz sprays, taking the lids off and flicking the excess colour also.  I also cut out the Bunting Flags and the Mini Words and place them to the right of the page with foam tape.

 

 





7.  Lastly, I finish my layout off with some Gold Flags, Flair and the Confetti mix.

Card Friday :)

Hi guys!  The weekend can't come quick enough for me!  Hubby has been away for work all week and frankly, I just missed him!!!  

I thought I would stop by with some cards to share today.

Summer Holidays

Oh take me back to Summer!!! It's starting to get a wee bit cool now! 

 

I just wanted to share this piece I created last week.  I used loads of gorgeous Prima flowers and some Websters Pages paper.  Using lots of pastel colours, mint, peach and cream.....yummo!!

I used lots of Shimmerz products for the mixed media touch.

 



 

 

Lots of shells, some cheesecloth and some gold Mica flakes.

 

 



 

I also layered and embellished this 2 Crafty Chiboard Anchor piece.  It's such a gorgeous piece....

PLS - Gold Foil

Hi there!

Today I have a new Pretty Little Studio project to share.

 

 

For the past 12 months I have adored using gold in my projects.  Pretty Little Studio has an amazing collection of Gold products to choose from.  I picked out the colour combination of gold, mint, black and white and chose some paper from the You and Me and Trick or Treat collections to match.  I layered my photo in the middle and then chose to accent the gold stickers around my photo.  I love the end result teamed with a little bit of mixed media.

Card Tuesday :)

Hi! 

 

 Just stopping in really quick with a couple of Happy Birthday cards.  It's funny, I have a big card stash but none of them really say Happy Birthday :)   Mostly using new Crate Paper collections and some Prima pretties.

Icecream canvas

Hi there!  Today I am stopping by with my super duper cute Icecream canvas I created using mostly Pretty Little Studio products.  Its sooooo cute this piece, the picture really doesn't do it justice!!  I used lots of PLS papers and layered them up with some calico pieces also.

 

I cut, distressed and layered all the layers with foam tape.  For the background I cut up tiny pieces of Vellum in Gold Starry and blended it into my mixed media work.  Lastly I topped the ice cream with a couple of Die-cut Cloud 9 pieces.

Pretty Friday Shares............

Happy Friday to you all, I hope you have a wonderful weekend planned :)

Today I have a couple of creations to share with you.

 

The first one was another creation I created whilst on holidays.  I started off with a stencilled background.  If you follow me on Instagram (STACEYYOUNG81) or my facebook page (StaceyYoung Creations and Crafts) you may have seen the before shot of the stencil :)  I then of course had to fill it up with lots of pretties and a smidgen of black and white to match in with my photo.  I just love this pic of all of together reading books!!!

My second creation today was based on inspiration from the following photo.

It was shared on the Pretty Little Studio blog last week.

 

 

 

 

 

The painting in this picture certainly caught my attention, it’s amazing.  I took inspiration from the colours and painted the background to match.  I also loved the Woodgrain and choose a some Silly Monkey paper to match the brown colour.  I used a flower die cut to cut some layered flowers out of the pink papers and placed the Journaling card from the You & Me Collection to accent the left hand side.
