Some fun creations :)

Hello!  I have a couple of layouts to share with you today :)  First one is just something fun I did of my middle man.  He is so tiny and agile, he's always turning himself inside out, he cracks me up!  I have used lots of Prima and Shimmerz with a touch of Glitz, Crate and Hambly.

I even managed to add the Webster's Perfect Accent.  I have had this anchor waiting to be used for ages.  Love it!!!!!

 



Oh loving the mix of mint, peach, coral and creams.......have you seen my Pinterest board of these colours?? 

 



Just a little Chippie from Crate the Pier and lots of Hambly tucked in there too :)

 

 



 

 

I handmade these cute kites.  Layered papers and distressed and added the wire off the Prima rose stems.

 



 

My second layout today is the project I created for Jennifer Grace's Projects that WOW tutorials.  My prompt was all about the layering!!!

 

 

I used lots of different bits and pieces here once again.  Prima, My Minds Eye (love love this background paper),  Shimmerz, Hambly, Basic Grey.

Aussie Scrap Source catch up

Hi lovely friends and followers.  I am sharing some Aussie Scrap Source layouts that have been shared on the blog over the past month or so.  I have used a different brand on each with loads of Shimmerz and other bits and pieces!

I have used the collection Collectable in the Unforgettable colour scheme.  Cut out lots of those cute hexagons and added some buttons and layered stickers.

Who doesn't love a little bit of Amy Tangerine??  Her Yes Please collection is way to adorable!  Loved this super fun line :)

I made this kite by layering various patterned papers slightly different sizes with foam tape.  I also added a stem off a Prima flower for the string of the kite.

 





CRATE PAPER

 

Oh Crate Paper, how I love thee!!!!  I used The Pier collection here for my beachy layout.  I used a smidgen of the red out of the collection to tie in with the pics.  I love the pinwheels and fun chippy pieces!!

Oh I love bows and I don't even care if I use them on my boys pages.....I consider them bow ties.....lol!!!

 



SEI

 

Lastly today, I have a SEI project featuring lots of yummy Prima!!  I must admit I am not familiar at all with the SEI brand but oh my these papers were stunning.  I used the Collections Mia Bella and Dianne. The floral cut out paper is just beautiful.  I absolutely loved fussing cutting that one out!!

Shimmerz Colour Combo

Hello, Hello!!!  I have some Shimmerz shares for you today :)  First up here is the colour combo I used on my first layout.  I really like it.....a little different for me but it worked really well!!  Grab out your Shimmerz and give it a go!

 

 

Here is my take on these colours together :) Using loads of fun here also, AC, Echo Park, BG, Prima, Studio Calico, Hambly and MME.

I have been waiting to use these "Mason Jar's" on a Mason layout....lol!!!  I added a little Gold Glimmer to the sequins and to the jar on the left.

 

 



I used the Gritty Graphite Texturez to the stencilled triangles.

 

 



The second piece I have to share today was a commissioned canvas piece of a little girl called Kenzie.  Isn't she just adorable!!!  I used all of these gorgeous pinks and apricots here:

Shimmerz in Bubblegum, Apricot, Antique Lace and Butter Cream

Colouringz in Pink Stiletto

 

 

Her Mummy was very happy with the end result and so was I.  It is so gorgeous, so much prettier irl!

Kindy Boys

One of my assignments for this term at Aussie Scrap Source was to create something using school photos.  So I decided to scrap the 2 photos of both my boys on their first day of kindy.  The pictures ending up working perfectly together as they were both in each photo but they were from different years.  I used the Basic Grey collection Hey You and thought the ABC paper was a perfect fit for this theme.  It is a really fun collection!

I wanted to created an apple as a background to fit the school theme.

I started with my Shimmerz paints and a bit of masking and more inking.  Using Dazzlerz in Sour Apple again!! 

Here it is before I embellished the layout.

 

 



I absolutely love Pinterest and have had this awesome layout Pinned to my scrapbooking folder for a while.  I was definitely inspired by this gorgeous work and you can find the Mixed Media artist Elena Sevrin's blog HERE !!!!!  Thankyou for the inspiration Elena, this layout absolutely wowed me way back when :)

Shimmerz shares....

Hi lovely blog readers!  Just popping in with a couple of Shimmerz shares that I haven't had a chance to share here yet :)

 

These are the Shimmerz products I have used on my first creation:

 

Texturez in Gritty Graphite and Sandy Stone

Shimmerz in Tickle Me Turquoise, Jilted Jade and Ultra Marine

Spritz in Licorice, 4 Leaf Clover, Sapphire and Mango Madness

 

I have used the MME Fly collection here.....definitely one of my fave collections at the moment!!  I love it and the Shimmerz just enhances it even more :)

 

SO my cute bubba boys aren't always so cute!!!  They seem to fight a lot atm so moments like these I cherish....lol!!!!  Kids huh!  How can they get on so well one minute and not the next :(

Some stamping and adding some water to the Shimmerz pots for a water colour effect.

 

 



 

Loads of flickers and spots.  I also love adding a darker coloured Shimmerz (here I used Ultra Marine) under my embellishments.  It makes them stand out more and gives your page more depth almost like a shadow effect.

Masking and just love using the enamel dots at the moment too!!

 

 

Here is my second layout......

Anyone who know's my creations will know I rarely ever use the colour Red.  I was creating this piece and it just wasn't quite working for me and then out of nowhere I thought "I need something to pop off this page"!!  I looked at my photo trying to find some inspiration and I spotted the little patch of grass (or maybe it's a weed....lol)  just to the left of Kobi on the swing.  I then grabbed the Sour Apple Dazzlerz and it worked an absolute treat.  What do you think??

I love how the Shimmerz sits on the Hambly transparency sheets, it adds some really great effects (but does take a little to dry) :)
