Sassy Scrappers April Challenge

Hi!  Just wanted to share my creation inspired by this gorgeous moodboard from Sassy Scrappers!!  I don't often have time for challenges but this moodboard had me at 'Hello'.......lol!!!  I just LOVE it!!!!!  So different, so unusual yet so so trendy!!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Here is my take on it:

 

"Love Icecream"

 

 

 

I also doubled this layout as one of my DT pages for my 2 Crafty Chipboard post this month.

Here I have used the Hey You word bubble from the "Word Bubbles Set".  I added white paint to it to make it pop from the darker background.

 



 

I also used some Chevron chipboard pieces and just covered in glitter tape.

 

 

 



 

 

 

 

Some Crate paper standouts and chipboard pieces where also used......

 

 



 

Another layered arrow and lots of gold sequins and glitter!!!  It all just screams fun....and that's what I had :) :)

Happy weekend to you all!  Just stopping by with my new Shimmerz creation that I shared over on the blog yesterday.

"Darling"

 

 

I have a pie chart stencil (by Crafter's Workshop) and I have certainly had my use out of it :)   I started by applying Modelling paste to the stencil.  Before it dries I start spraying my Spritz and Vibez products.....always using the lighter colours first.

 

Also letting the colours dribble down the page.

 

 

 



After giving the pie chart a spray with Vibez Before Dawn I wanted the black to be a little darker so I used the Coal Shimmerz which you can see from this picture just how shimmery it is.  The Gold Glimmer Blingz is also at the top of this pic......love the texture in the Blingz :)

A cute arrow, yes, I'm a litted addicted to making these :)

 

 

 



And loads of layers like usual!  See those little cards there (the rainbow and the Ticket flags), I got these in the cutest box set from Typo!  Seriously the cutest images ever with the gorgeous pastel hues!

Once Upon A Sketch April Sketch

 Hi!!  I am busy playing catch up at the moment.  We just got home yesterday from our week and a half away at our holiday house!  Boys are back at school today......

Anyway I am sharing my April DT layout for Once Upon A Sketch.

 

 

Journalling Theme: "An event that changed my life..." 

You are free to interpret our theme ANY WAY you like. It is for your inspiration and this theme word DOES NOT need to be part of your title or journalling. But please make sure your layout is based on the sketch below and includes journalling (hidden journalling is fine). Acceptable journalling is MORE than just a sentence, or generic writing such as date/place etc. It needs to be present and at least 3 lines long. Remember, hidden journalling (under a photo/tag or behind your page) is perfectly fine but please DO let us know in your post where your journalling is!

"Chasing Seagulls"

I am stopping by today with a new Shimmerz creation. Something beachy today..........

Coloringz in Madarin Mai Tai

Shimmerz in Ultra Marine

 

 

 

"Chasing Seagulls"

 

 

I have used lots of Prima products and shells which the Shimmerz compliment so well.  These blue's are my favourite's to create with, if you didn't notice!!  I love the vibrancy to them, but also very calming.

 

 

 





I love how the colours blend into the shells, which I applied Gesso to first.

 

 

I applied a mask with some modelling paste to give loads of texture and then blended the blues together.

 

 



I also added a plastic pocket with little shells, cheesecloth and sequins.  I then applied some Madarin Mai Tai down the side.

 

 



 

 

I have used a 2 Crafty Chipboard frame here.  Almost looks like a setting sun :)

Some Prima Pebbles and SIIC and the Metal Seagull!

Something for boys!!!

Hi all!!!!   I have some super boyish creations to share today! 

 

It's funny I have a house full of boys but I just love to create pretty things!    The only place you will find glitter and flowers is in my scraproom.....the rest of the house is full of Lego, Superhero's, robots, cars and Transformer's!!!  I LOVE it and I really love this page :)  I can't wait to do a Lego page because we (yes, I love it too) create a lot of Lego lately.....in fact I think we are off to see the Lego movie in the holidays :) :)

 

I was so excited when Crate paper released the new Boys Rule collection.....truly hard to come across an awesome 'boy'collection!!!

I made this one for Cooper for his 7th birthday.  He just loves his DS so it was awesome to see the little Gameboy chipboard piece in the Boys Rule collection!  Perfect fit for my boy :)

"Heartbreaker"

Today, I am stopping by with my newest Shimmerz creation.  Here is the gorgeous colour palette I used:

Dimensionz in Blue Lagoon

 

 

Awww, my little baby boy (well not so baby anymore, can't believe he is 3 in 2 months).......just starting to become a little poser, he is so adorable (yes, I am biased but it's true ;)   Those big blue eyes are going to have the girls chase him one day....LOL!!!!

I always try to blend my embellishments to the Shimmerz products I used. 

Lots of flicks also with the nozzle.

 

 



The Dimensionz in Blue Lagoon fit perfectly with this colour palette and really brought out Mason's blue eyes.  I applied some in dots and also applied it more thickly and then ran a paintbrush through it to give it a dripped look.

 

 



I made an bow and arrow out of florist vine......love it :)

 

 



I have applied the Vibez to the resin heart.

 

 



Look at the Shimmery colour when added to the patterned paper.
