Good Times :)

Hi there!

I couldn’t help but create another layout featuring the You and Me collection.   It’s so much fun and easy to work with, lots of pretty colours and cute embellishments.  Throw in lots of gold, a handmade bow out of the cute Arrow paper (Romantic),   add lots of layers and watercolours and it’s complete.

Layout and cards :)

Hi guys!  Just stopping by with another Pretty Little Studio creation!

I was given a picture challenge to work with :)

I just adored this picture challenge!  The colours just screamed pastel at me, so I thought something to do with Easter was the way to go.  I have used a mixture of collections to create this page.

After working on the background with mixed media I started by placing the Blue Bells striped paper towards the top of the page.  From the patterned papers I made bows and straws and added strips to each side of the page.  I added the title down the bottom and added some journaling to the right of it.

Sweetheart

Hello!
This creation was popped up on the PLS blog a few days ago :)

"I’m so excited to share my very first creation using the new collection “You & Me”.  This collection is just gorgeous and I love the colour palette.  So many cute and sweet products for this collection, I have used many in my creation today!   I am featuring Valentine Die Cuts today and I choose 2 to help make my page pop.  I layered both Die Cuts, Hi Birdie and My Deer into my layers.  I added the Sweetheart Die Cut title with foam tape so it popped off the frame, plus the Cupid’s Arrow stickers are so cute and versatile."

2 Crafty Feb Shares

Happy Weekend :)

My first creation today is pretty girly, for the only other girl in my household!!
My little (or big) puppy Peaches.  She is soooo sweet, chomping here on a iceblock :)

"Sweet"

I have used the following 2 Crafty Chipboard pieces on my layout:

 Frame Loopy Love Hearts
Squiggly Heart Cluster
Friendship Mini Word Pack
Sybill's Name Plate

The Squiggly Heart Cluster I actually cut into 2 pieces and layered the biggest side into
my flower cluster.  I applied some Gesso and then some Beets Me Inklingz (Shimmerz).

The other part was added to the left hand side of the layout.

I also cut Sybill's Name Plate in half and placed a piece on both top and bottom edges.
I applied Gesso to these and then added some Washi tape and some alcohol ink in bright
Fushia.  I then dribbled some water on the areas.

On top of the name plate I added the word sweet from the Friendship Mini Word Pack.
I used an orange watercolour pencil on the word.

I framed the picture of my sweet puppy with the Frame Loopy Lovehearts.  I applied
Gesso and then used a pink gel pen to trace all the way around the hearts.

My second creation today is a canvas piece.  Using lots of layers and a few
2 Crafty Chipboard pieces to make the project pop!

"Love"

These are the 2Crafty Chipboard  pieces I used on this canvas:

Square Collage Panel
Frame Olivia
Line Words - Happiness Boarders

I love this Square Collage Panel.   I adhered it to the background and blended in my mixed media work.  Covering the piece in Gesso first and then I added some Shimmerz products.
Splattering some mists and using the Inklingz watercolours to blend into the background.

I added layers of flowers and leaves and finished off my creation with the Line Word  Love.
I chopped off either end of the piece as it was just too long for what I wanted.   Gesso
was applied and I added some Rub 'n' Buff once again to various areas of the word.

I added the Frame Olivia into my layers.  I also applied Gesso and then traced my finger
around it's edges with a small amount of Rub 'n' Buff in Antique Gold.

Bye for now xo

Pretty Little Studio creations

Hi there, I have some Pretty Little Studio creations to share with you today.

The first, a set of 2 baby cards.
I have used the cute collections Baby Jack and Baby Claire.

Secondly today, I have a layout featuring clouds.

I have used the Die cut watercolour clouds pack.  I applied several with foam tape and layered them on each other giving them lots of dimension.  I have also added a couple of tiny gold foil clouds.  Clouds are a fun embellishment to add to any project.

Just some closeups also.  I have added some Inklingz to the papers and diecuts.

My last share today is some gift tags!  We have plenty of parties (especially boys parties) and these were really quick and simple to make.  I have used the Clowning Around collection.

A bit of thread, straw and some Shimmerz.

Have a wonderful day xo

2 Crafty + CSI

This month us 2 Crafty Chipboard girls were invited as Guest Detectives at CSI - Color Stories Inspiration .  Case file #154 is now open and it's fabulous....definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone.

I was certainly inspired by black and white strips and the nautical theme.  This colour palette was
something different for me but I do quite like the result.

"The Beach Is Good For The Soul"

I have used the following 2 Crafty Chipboard pieces:

2014's
Alpha Set 1
Thistle Shrub
Shrub set 2

I tucked in the Thistle Shrub behind some of my layers.  I applied some Gesso to
the bottom section of the shrub but I left the top/tips raw.

The word "soul" was added into my mixed up title using the Alpha Set 1.  I left the letters raw also.

The 2014 chipboard piece was simply applied with Gesso.

I also used some Shimmerz paints, My Bleeding Heart Coloringz, Night Moves Coloringz and Spritz Bamboo Leaf.  A few Prima flowers and some glass beads.

Part of the Thistle Shrub was chopped off and added as a top layer to my photo.  I applied some Gesso to it.  The other piece of the Shrub Set 2 was also layered in to the left hand side of the photo.

I cut the Shrub Set 2 in half and placed each piece on either side of the photo.  I applied a thin layer of Gesso to this piece and then dripped a small amount of My Bleeding Heart Colouringz (Shimmerz).  I then added some water to it with a small paintbrush to give it a watercolour effect.
