Prima love.........

Hi everyone, just wanting to share some Prima layouts with you.  Prima are now having a monthly feature called Pin Spin.  Pick a Pin and be inspired to create something.  I often feel inspired by my pins as a whole, so it was actually quite hard just to pick 1.........here is the Pin I choose.

I absolutely loved the colour palette!  I also drew a load of inspiration from the top picture of the ocean.  Here is my layout.

"Sweet Memories"

I used a mix of new and older metals and flowers.

Loads of paint and mix media, geez I love Mint atm!!!!!

My second Prima layout today, I created for the Aussie Scrap Source blog.  I actually created this one a while ago and have been dying to share it but it had to wait to be shared on the blog first.  I used the Firefly collection...........and totally different from the layout above.........but I just LOVE these bright colours!!!!

"Family"

Shabby Chic Treasures Bird cages and Birds!  Plus some stamping.

I used a mask aswell to create the swirl.  I often find doing this helps with the flow of my flower clusters.

Okay, that is me done for the evening.  I am super tired.  I hope I can share some photos from our holiday soon,  I haven't even had a chance to look at them yet!!!

Hugs to all xo

Dreams do come true :)

Yes, they do!!  We are now the proud owners (with my Mum and Dad - team effort) of a holiday house at the beach!!!  It has always been a dream of mine to have a beach house and now we do!  It is in a gorgeous little spot about 2 1/2 hours away from our home, somewhere to go on weekends and holidays and relax and swim and fish and ride bikes/scooters :)  I am pretty sure you have seen plenty of shots of the boys there, and I warn you, there will be a load more!!!!  It's not huge (although the yard is - woo hoo)  but its ours and we are all so excited!!  So before we decided to buy this place I had booked ourselves in for a holiday at the Gold Coast next week!  So double whammy excited here!  Kidlets can't wait, theme parks here we come!!!!  So there you go, excitement plus around here atm :)

Before we have a little adventure next week, I thought I would share with you some more creations!

First up is super cute Mr Pirate.  I created this using all Shimmerz and some extra bits of material and string.  Kobi had been asking me recently to make him a pirate for his wall.  So I got to sketching a cute little boy figure.............ummm, just wasn't quite working for me (I am not so great with face sketching) and then my wonderful/ideas man Hubby said to me "why don't you make a Pirate Owl??" As if that was the most logical thing ever, why didn't I think of that!!!!!  So here he is, in all his Shimmery glory!

Here is what I used:

Vibez in Blue Jeans, Hot Fudge, Hermit the Frog, Jeni B Bleu
Spritz in Truffle, Sapphire, Sea Foam
Coloringz in Mama Sings the blues and Heidi Ho Blue

So the boys are now pretty stoked with their Pirate on their bedroom wall.

And have we all heard about the new Shimmerz products.  OMG I have seen a sneak at the colours and I am so so excited, I know you will be too :):)

Of course February is the month of love and for me it's extra special as my husband and I celebrate our Wedding Anniversary..........and this year being even more special being our 10th anniversary (and while we are holidays)!!
Anyways Prima's Product Pick for Feb is just perfect for all things love!  Check it out and have a go, always so many fantastic prizes to win!!

Based on the palette above here is my take :

"Love Makes Life A Beautiful Ride"

I have used papers from the new collections, Lyric, Hello Pastel and Divine.

Plus a mix of gorgeous new flowers and some of my older faves.

Loads of distressing, texure and cute hearts!

Next up is the BAP!  Marie-Nicolas, a DT member, created this super cool sketch for us to work from.

I used the Lifetime collection and created this one as one of my CHA projects.  I also think it was my favourite one for the show!

"Key to My Heart"

The Lifetime is quite a neutral collection but I made it pop by adding loads of extra colour!!!

Super cute wooden planes! Pluse more gorgeous flowers.

Lastly today, is a very recent share that was put up on the Aussie blog.  I had assignment of using a boarder punch.  I must admit I don't own alot of punches but I absolutely love this Martha Stewart Lace Heart Boarder Punch.

"Our Love Month"

I made medallions and punched the bottom of the page.

Without discarding all of the negative hearts and confetti from the punched pieces of paper, I kept them all in a pile and added them into a plastic sleeve along with some glitter.  I stitched around the outside to attach it the bottom cardstock, making a gorgeous shaker as a base for my layers.

I couldn't wait to use the Fourteen collection by Crate Paper and this all seemed to come together perfectly.........and with love!!!!

Phew, this one took me a while to write up!  I hope you enjoyed my post today............I best get back to packing our bag!!
Hugs, catch you in a couple of weeks xo

Some Pretties :)

Hi Everyone, another week has passed and I would love to share some more scrappy happenings around the web :)
I had an interview feature over at Aussie Scrap Source (Meet the Design Team) and was asked to create 2 new layouts for the feature.  If you want to see the whole post and interview, you can find it here.

Here is my first layout, featuring Prima.

"One Day"

Yummo colour!!!!!

I love this picture, if you look closely my 4 boys are actually in it :)

My next layout was created using Pink Paislee, a mix of City Sidewalks, Artisan and Portfolio.  I really love the way this turned out and the unusual colour scheme for me :)

"Sweet Joy"

I love the banners from the City Sidewalks collection.  I loved adding some thread to it and having it dangle down once the layout was framed (which it isn't yet, but will be.....lol)

The Artisan Hearts are some of my faves, love their shape :)

Next up is the tag I created for the Leeza Gibbons Wishes Tree at CHA.

Last but certainly not least is my new Prima layout for the Lyric collection.  The moment I saw this collection I fell in love with it, it is just so beautiful.  I am yet to do a boyish version of it but picked out the sweet little Sianne to make it shine at CHA :)

"Sianne Maree"

So many gorgeous details on here.  The new metal piece, I ran a bit of Gesso along it just to soften it up against the rest of the layout.

New vines,  new flowers........so pretty, so lacy!

Some new resist Canvas in there too.

Okay, thanks so much for popping by today.  I hope you enjoyed my new shares.
Hugs xo

Shimmerz butterflies

Hi everyone, hope you have enjoyed your weekend.  I thought I would drop by with a new Shimmerz layout I have shared on the Shimmerz blog.  It's a cute instagram piccie Jod took of Sianne and I whilst I was in Perth.  I couldn't help but go all girly on this one!!!

I have used a load of product here, so here is the list:
Coloringz in Heidi Ho Blue, Mandarin Mai Tai and Pink Stiletto
Shimmerz in Apricot, Tickle me Turquoise and Hott E Pink
Spritz in Licorice, Mango Madness, Carribean Sunset, Ruby and Sea Foam

Now you don't need all of the above to create something like this, some of these colours are just flicked on my page to add that little bit more colour.

"Sweet As Can Be"

The Closeups:

I just wanted to share a quick how to on the butterflies I created in the background. I apologise for the photo quality, it was a night and lighting was poor.
I grabbed my chipboard butterflies and placed them on my layout where I wanted them to frame my photo. I sprayed serveral bottles layering over each other. I then took all the butterflies off and put the big one back on this time holding it in place whilst I held the paper upright and let the Spritz run down the page.

Using some texture paste I outlined the butterflies. I then grabbed my Shimmerz pots and a paintbrush and coloured in the butterflies blending the colours into together.

I then pulled the nozzle off the Licorice Spritz and traced the inside lines of the butterflies, also adding flicks to the page as I went.

More flicks were added by taking off the lid and flicking back onto the page.

I then added my photo mat for my picture. I placed another couple of butterflies around the calico to blend into the background.

I am sure you don't need reminding about the Shimmerz deal, but if you do, don't forget to mention my name at checkout in the Shimmerz store to get your FREE bottle of Shimmerz!!!  If you haven't already tried it, now is the time, it's super fun and there are so many pretty, pretty colours to choose from :)

Have a funtastic and creative week, thankyou for visiting and a special hello to those lovely ladies who always leave me special comments, I truly appreciate it and I hope to pop around to your blogs soon to say 'hi' :)
