2 Crafty projects for October

Hello!  Stopping by tonight to share with you my newest creations for 2 Crafty Chipboard and featuring some of their brand new pieces.  They are all so gorgeous :)

My first creation today is a layout featuring my silly, crazy family of mine!
Lots of bright, sunshiny colours too.  I have used some of the Nest collection by Webster's pages.

"Happiness"

I have used the following 2 Crafty pieces:

Frame Hand drawn Hearts
Line Words Happiness Borders
Chicken Barbed Wire
2014
Polaroid Assortment Frames

I choose to use the Line Word Happiness as my title.  I did, however,  chop a little off each end to shorten it just a smidgen.   I applied Gesso to it first and then applied Shimmerz products in Ultra Marine and turquoise and also adding a little water to give it the water colour effect.
I then traced a white gel pen on the edges of the colour.

I added the Polaroid Frame to the left side of my photo with foam tape.  Before adhering I painted with Gesso and then applied a stencil (which I used on the background of the layout also) with Modelling paste and sprayed with Shimmerz mists.
I added the 2014 beneath the fame and which was applied with Gesso and then mist
and then Gesso again to wash it out.

I have placed the Chicken Barbed Wire (after cutting into pieces) around my
embellishments clusters.  I treated them with Gesso and hints of Shimmerz.
I also added a little bit of Lemon Drop Dazzlerz to some of them.

I framed my photo with the Frame Hand Drawn Hearts.  I covered with Gesso and
then wrapped some metallic turquoise thread around it.

My second creation today is a canvas piece measuring about 20cm x 25cm.
It is so pretty, I really love they way it turned out and I do love pink!
"Live Laugh Love"

Here are the 2 Crafty products I used on this piece:

Interlocking Grid Panel
Live Laugh Love
Frame Oval Ornate
Music Notes

I started out by layering some papers in the centre.  After covering all of my chipboard pieces with Gesso I began to layer them in to the canvas too.  I tucked the Interlocking Grid Panel in under the paper layers and applied some glue and glitter, both fine and chunky gold.  I added some flicks of alchol ink and a few Say It In Crystals.

After I had the vine in place I added the Frame Oval Ornate to sit above it.  I then added
the flowers and added flicks of gold paint and some Shimmerz Inklingz to the frame.

I used the title Live Laugh Love and added gold paint to it, it wasn't standing out so
much so I opted to add some Gesso to the edges.

Lastly I added a few Music Notes to various parts of the canvas.  I covered in Gesso
and while still wet I sprinkled on some glitter.

Have a wonderful night!  I am preparing party decorations for my Dad's 60th this weekend!!
Hugs xo

Feathers :)

Happy Friday all!!  I have another Pretty Little Studio creation to share today.  This time featuring their gorgeous diecut feathers.

"Laughing Together"

Just a little about my layout :

“Today we are featuring feathers and I have used a selection from the Neapolitan collection.  They are gorgeous, bright and the perfect happy combination to add to my creation.  I focused on them standing out on my layout so I lined them all up going across the page on either side of my photo.  I used foam tape to layer some on top of each other.  I even added the feathers to toothpicks and wrapped gold thread around them.   Super pretty they are! ”

I love PLS flairs, they are just the cutest and there are so many to choose from :)

Products Used:

Neapolitan Collection: Paper Ribbons, Flair, Feathers, Pattern Paper
Sand Castle Collection: Polaroid tags, Die-cut Castle Flags
Marigold Collection: Gold Flags
Baby Jack: Bunting Flags, Tabs

Have a fantastic weekend.

OUAS - October

Hi there!  Hope you are having a lovely Wednesday :)  Today I am stopping by to share with you my creation for Once Upon A Sketch this month.
There is still plenty of time to get your entry in for a chance to win some fantastic prizes.

This month is all about the girls!!

Journalling Theme: "The women/girls etc in our lives..."

You are free to interpret our theme ANY WAY you like. It is for your inspiration and this theme word DOES NOT need to be part of your title or journalling. But please make sure your layout is based on the sketch below and includes journalling (hidden journalling is fine). Acceptable journalling is MORE than just a sentence, or generic writing such as date/place etc. It needs to be present and at least 3 lines long. Remember, hidden journalling (under a photo/tag or behind your page) is perfectly fine but please DO let us know in your post where your journalling is!

Here is my take on the sketch:

I finally found my chance to scrap this photo of my 2 girlfriends and I.  We all live far away from each other so we met in Sydney one weekend to see each other.

I have used some new Crate Paper Notes and Things papers.  Plus lots of other pretties, flowers, bows and glitter.

"Enjoy Beautiful Friends"

Lots of inks, masking and messy fun :)

I can't remember if I mentioned how much I love the vellum flowers which Prima released.  I added some Inklingz to them and sprinkled glitter to the centre.

Lots and lots of layers with paper, vellum, frames, calico and cord.

I have used some 2 Crafty Chipboard in there called Interlocking Grid Panel.

Thanks for your visit today, hope its a creative one for you :)

"Little Moments" = Cute monkeys

Happy Friday everyone!  This months sketch at Pretty little Studio was a fun one!

Sketches are a wonderful way to get the creative process started.  Using the Silly Monkey collection I have layered all of my papers, journal cards and tags down the right hand side of the page as shown on the sketch.

"Little Moments"

I applied some texture paste and a star stencil to my background first.

From there I added lots of other interest from the left side and the bottom, as I am not one to have a lot of white space.  I chose the turquoise colour out of the collection with a hint of brown, grey and red, I actually quite like this colour combination.

Lots of flags, tags and a flair were also added to my layers.

I added a monkey Shipping tag down the bottom to tie in with the shipping tags of the sketch and I  just had to add in the Silly Mango diecut to the top of my page, he is sooo cute.

I hope you enjoyed my creation today :)
Have a happy weekend xo
