Mixed media canvas...

So here is the canvas I said I would share with you. I made it for a friend of her little girl on her 2nd birthday. It is a shame this pic is so small but if anyone could help me get bigger pictures on here that would be great. The picture doesn't do this piece justice, it is so much prettier IRL. This came together so quickly and easily for me (about 2 and a bit hours) and I can't wait to do more like it:):) I have had this picture in my head for ages on what I wanted it to look like and with a few new Prima products it has worked out lovely...can't you tell I am so happy with it!! I have been inspired by the beautiful works of Steph .....I adore her work. Dad made me up the canvas, I think it is about 13 inches by 25 inches. I thought doing it narrower would be great for a wall hanging. I coated the canvas with Gesso first, waited for it to dry and then went crazy with paint and some alcohol inks and glimmermists.
I didn't put any words or title on it....I didn't think it needed anything more, what do you think?? I then just started layering paper and material on just as I would on a normal layout. Then I added all the Prima flowers and vine around the photo adding more paint to the edges of them aswell.
I used the new "Annalee" paper by Prima as well as some older Prima paper, some new butterflies and some feathers I got at lincraft.

The circles were created using an old lid from a Glen 20 bottle and randomly stamped onto the canvas and I also painted and printed some bubble wrap.

I absolutely loved creating this canvas.....I painted on canvas before I found scrapbooking so it has been such a long time since I used this media:) Now that I have found it again it was awesome to mix the two together....like I said I can't wait to do more and I am getting back into using all my paints and getting real arty again!!!!
So I hope you like it as much as I do:)
