Step-by-step layout:)

Here is my little layout of Kobi which I would like to share with you my step-by-step. It is a such an imperfect photo but I just thought it was too cute not to scrap....it is a little blurry. I hope you like it.
"Perfect to me"
Step 1: Firstly I bubble wrapped my cardstock, I am so hopeless with this technique so I always go for the messy look. I also rubbed some more paint on with my finger.
Step 2: Using my Kaisercraft paint tubes I created swirls as is out of the tube, no need for a paintbrush, this made the paint quite thick.
Step 3: I then added orange in the same process. There you have the background.
Step 4: I then ripped up this sheet of Scenic Route pp, this was double sided. I teared the 2 pieces and curled up the edges with my fingers and then added a little of black ink to the edges. I glued onto my page.......naughty me though didn't wait for the paint to dry.....that could of turned out badly but luckyily it didn't.
Step 5: I ripped a strip of material and glued it down gathering with my fingers as I was going. I then added my photo with foam layering tape. Still naughty me the paint hadn't dried....but at this point I did go to bed and it dried overnight.
Step 6: I am sorry, but there should of been another photo in here between these 2 but I accidently deleted it off my camera....oops! Anyways, here is where I start to add embellishments. I had an old doily laying around and glimmermisted it. I handmade the kite using felt and patterned paper and some thin ribbon. I cut out circles from scraps of material and frayed the edges and layered them on top of each other. I added some buttons from mlbow. I made some clouds with felt and added the cloud button from mlbow. I then added the Maya Road snail that I embellished with pp and felt.
Step 7: I then added the title and cut out some circles from the Scenic Route paper and added them with foam layering tape.
Step 8: I added more embellishments (surprised??)..... another mlbow Birdie, how cute is he! I also finished the title, added some hearts and made the grass below the snail by cutting up some plain chipboard and painting.
Step 9: I added my dragonflies. They were Kaisercraft rubons that I rubbed onto white cardstock. I cut out and folded up the sides. Lastly I added a wee little bit of doodling and some extra little clouds.
That's all for now, I hope this was easy to understand and happy scrapping xx

Hi again Stace, thanks for sharing your step by step piccies. I am so inspired to try the paint-straight-out-of-the-tube thing... that's pretty radical for me, who has always been a bit paint-phobic. I've been progressing past the phobia but I HAVE to try your technique. Love those swirls, and love your work xx
