The Color Room #95 + Shimmerz

Hope you all had a lovely weekend. It has been quite miserable and wet here the past week and doesn't seem to be letting up anytime soon! Just thought I would pop by with a couple of new layouts:) The first one is for the Color Room palette #95. I thought Christmas as soon as I saw the palette. I have used a combination of Crate, October Afternoon, Hambly and of course Prima! I even used the awesome sketch this time round.

CHA Prima En Francais

This sweet collection by Prima is just perfect for my baby boy!! I love the cute little rocking horse motifs:) Also adore the script background paper that I just added my own touches of paint too! Cute little dots and also great for those Paris/holiday pics.....having never been over seas (let alone to Paris) I opted to use on my cutie intead! So it's a very versatile range!!

I just want to share a couple of pictures from our party. I made these gorgeous tissue paper pom poms.......the easiest thing ever to make and they looked stunning!!!! I just found the tutorial on You tube:) The colours didn't quite turn out in this pic, the pink was more fushia like all the colours in the above project!

My invitations........all handmade once again. Punched ends, some rafia and ribbon layered bows and finished with a 30th dot!!

Prima CHA Almanac

Oh my, Prima have done it again with so many amazing new collections:) My first CHA layout I will share with you is using the Almanac Collection, also known as Printery no. 2.

When we went to Great Keppel Island a week before Christmas I took some new pics of the boys. This collection has beautiful sandy tones through it that matched perfectly. I also toned it down by steering clear of the black in the collection and adding a touch of blue to match Cooper's shirt.

With a new year we now must say goodbye to 2011. Thought I would share with you some of my favourite layouts for the year. Do you know how hard this was for me to choose!!! I have truly loved creating each and every layout/project which made it so hard just to choose a few! So here they are in no particular order:):)

2011 proved to be an amazing year all round for me, a year of hopes and dreams come true. A beautiful new baby, an awesome year with my big boy at Kindy, a big 30th birthday (party to come.....woot woot), beautiful memories with all my boys and a truly amazing year scrapping wise!!!! I am so grateful for the opportunities I've been given this year and so so appreciative of all of your kind words and comments, support and friendships. It means more to me than you will ever know!

Hi all you lovely blog followers.....hope you are recovering well from the excitement of Christmas:) We are STILL sorting a home for all the new toys and games the boys got. Tim put up new shelves in their room today:) Anyway thought I would pop by with some Prima creations. The first one is a Birdhouse canvas album. I have had this creation in my head for so long just had to get it together. It was a little time consuming but I got there! We had professional photos taken of us back when Mason was born and I wanted to scrap them in here. I only got to do a few photos though, I couldn't fit anymore......that's what I get for making things too bulky!!!!

I love my little birdie sitting on the window here. The resin's are so amazing.....just love working with them!!

I also altered this Christmas bauble I bought from Pillowtalk. It started out clear with a few rhinestones on it, now it's turquoise and even shinier:):)

Here is a 1st birthday card I made. I used the Romantique collection here.

Lastly, a Christmas card I made for the Prima blog. Mum gave me a whole bunch of cards from when she was a little girl and this image was on one of those cards. It is soooo gorgeous! I just loved adding special little touches to this.

Just a couple of pics of the boys for Xmas:) A certain little 3 year old hasn't been very posy for me so at least I have the one of the 3 or them together.

Ahoy there me Hearties!!!!

Warning: Photo overload in this post!!! So my little Kobi had his 3rd birthday Pirate Party a couple of weekends ago. We all had such a ball, honestly the best party we have ever had. Awesome theme too, we have never done a themed party for the kids before.....bit of work but loads of fun:):) Mum made the boys costumes (Cooper's was bought but we added the bandana and sash). Just spotty and strip materials from Lincraft. Mine and Tim's were a mix of op shop and made! We have friends that own a Jumping Castle Business so we had a really big Pirates (of the Carribean) Castle. It was great even the adults had a go;) I borrowed the blue scene setter and all the mesh added some pirate wall hangers, banners and balloons and this made for a really cool backdrop!

So here are some pics from the day.

My big boy now (within the week he turned 3 his toilet training just clicked....woo hoo!!!!!!!) I now have 2 big boys and a baby I keep telling him:)

Struggled to get a good pic of the 3 of them (that is happening alot lately)! But this one is soooo sweet.....I love it, I love my boys!!

Kobi and his awesome cake that our friend Krystin made him!! So he was a little too close to the candles for my liking but he did blow the candles out (eventually):)

Oh my so much fun, one definately to remember!!!

I just want to share with you a quick tutorial on Kobi's Pirate invites.......so extremely quick, so cool!!!

I used inks + Shimmeringz in Heavy Metal.

Firstly I cut out my 2 pieces of paper to size. The background paper being a bit wider than the actual written part. I cut around the edges randomly making the cuts all different lengths. I teared and ripped the written paper aswell (I just printed this onto normal A4 paper).

I distressed around the edges with my ink pad.

I crumpled up the paper and then pulled it back out and adhered it to the backing cardstock. I then added drips of alcohol ink around the edges of the text. Sprayed my Shimmeringz to give a bit of shine!!

Added a little flag with masking tape and there you have it.....Pirate Invites:):)

The Color Room #87

The Color Room this week has a beautiful Christmas palette......not your traditional Christmas colours but looks so stunning anyway!!! I really love doing the non traditional palettes for Christmas anyway, I just can't seem to work well with red:(

This is the first lot of pics I got of the boys this year for Christmas......take 2 hopefully will happen this weekend. I just couldn't get one of the 3 of them together, Mason's turn to not cooperate!! I am really loving listening to the boys thoughts on Christmas and Santa......it's very cute:)

I have used some new Prima flowers on here + alot of Kaiser chipboard that I have had in my chippie box forever!!! A bit of Hambly too:)

I absolutely loved this sketch as soon as I saw it:):) I am a huge fan of bunting so this instantly got me inspired to create!! I hope you can play along too and be in the chance to win some amazing Prima products. Here is the sketch:

Here is my layout using the sketch. I had these super duper cute pics of Mason when he was 6 weeks old and I just had to add in the pops of aqua to match his little hat:) I am more of a single photo scrapper but this definately was a fun way to use a series of photos.

"Gorgeous Little Man"

I made the banner by cutting out different shapes of patterned paper. I then distressed the edges and layered them on top of each other with foam tape. I then added the twine to the top of the banner. My ribbons were then added next along with the Shabby Chic Treasures, Buttons and Trinkets.

Beautiful Prima blooms:)

More flowers with some Flocked Rubons. The rubons went really well with this colour palette, they are a beautiful creamy colour with a touch of texture to them.

Sharing some more projects with you today. First up is a canvas I made for the lovely Prima DT co-ordinator Sharon. I was so happy to make this for Sharon and her beautiful family:):) This piece is so much prettier IRL! I hope she loved it just as much as I loved creating it!

I added some Modelling paste to the bricks to give them some texture:) A little bit of fussy cutting and lots of beautiful Prima flowers!

I made this layout of my sweet boy with the November PPP in mind. I really loved these colours together, a touch vintage!! I used the Printery line including papers, resist canvas and flowers:)

Here is my next Shimmerz layout:) My gosh I had soooooooo much fun making this! The colours just blended perfectly and everything just come together so easily for me....woo hoo!! I started out by misting the background, I then started tearing and distressing the paper and adding more misting as I went along. I take the nozzle off and let the colours drip off the end aswell. I really love working with shells, they are just so fun to alter!

Some closeups: I even added a teeny bit of sand to the layout which had actually fallen out of the shells we had recently collected:)

I used Coloringz in Mandarin Mai Tai, Lime Da Coconut and Mama Sings the Blues. I also used Vibez in Jeni B Bleu and Pearlz in Green with Envy.

And just because I can't help myself.......Tim calls me a mean Mummy for making him wear crazy hats, I don't think Mason minded though, he loved playing with the tassels:) During this session was when my camera died for the 3rd or 4th time this week......so guess what hubby bought me over the weekend.....a new Nikon.....now I just need to work out how to use it again!! Yes, I am spoilt, but that's okay I deserve it sometimes....hehe;)

So Kobi's pirate party was sooo cool and fun!! Haven't uploaded the pics onto the computer yet but when I do I will share.....my boys made some super duper cute pirates that's for sure!!!

So today my little middle man turned 3!!! It seems like it was yesterday when he was like this, I really feel like he's has grown up in a blink of the eye. It is so scary how time seems to be moving so fast these days! I love you so so much my little Kobi and hope you have a super fun time at your Pirate Party on the weekend:):)

So if it couldn't get any worse than me almost losing my external hard drive a couple of weeks ago my camera has now decided to stuff up. I have a Nikon D60 and the shutter is playing up. It is coming up with Error, press shutter release again???? I have found a forum and hubby has done as they have to try and fix it. Yes it fixed the problem but only for a few more shots and then it has got stuck again. Has anyone had this problem before?? I have really used my camera alot (and I mean ALOT) over the past 3 and a bit years but would it really be worth fixing or do you just think it might be on it's way out? I really don't have a clue when it comes to this sort of stuff.......which then brings me to my next question, if I was to get a new camera, do you have any recommentations?? I think I would love to stay with a Nikon but is 3 years out of a camera a really crappy figure....I don't know.....but I have definately got my money's worth out of it the amount of pictures I have taken....I am such a bad overshooter...lol!!!! Any help or tips etc would be greatly appreciated:):)

Hi everyone, hope your weekend was a good one! Thought I would just pop by to share with you my Color Room layout for this week. I really love playing with white atm:) Lots of Prima, a bit of Glitz and lots of texture paste in here! I absolutely love the way Mason's blue eyes just pop with this combo.

Getting dressed up doesn't happen very often for me these days so it really felt nice......mind you when Mum picked me up last night the first thing I did was take my wedges off....lol!!!!

I just wanted to say thankyou lovely girls who left me comments last post:):) It's so nice to know you are not alone and we all have our ups and downs....we are all human after all!! My darling husband.......gosh I loved him a WHOLE lot on Saturday...lol;) has got my external hardrive working again, but we also bought another and backed it all up on there!! Wow, that was such a horrible feeling thinking I may have lost photos! The other dramas are still not fixed, but meh, at least I have my photos:):)

A few weekends ago we went on a litte getaway to Bargara and surrounds. Please somebody up there let me win the Lotto so we can have a beach house....lol!!!!!! So here are a couple of pics:)

Not having the best of weeks........

Arrrgh, it's been one of those weeks!!! Technology is definately not my friend this week....Firstly my Iphone got a teeny bit wet and now it hardly works, no lights and I can't hear it ringing. I tried the whole sitting it in rice thing, it now turns on but that's about it! Secondly, my external hardrive just stopped working........which is reallllllyyyy stressing me out because that is where all my photos are!!! I have so many of them backed up but there are some that aren't (stupuid, stupid me!) Thirdly my internet plays up every so often and needs to be reset all the time...I think it's time for a new router. Lastly our pool chlorinator stopped working too, $330 later and apparently it's fixed, we will see next week when we get it back!!!!! To top it all off the big boys have been driving me mental today.....I just wanna cry!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay rant over....deep breaths, here's a layout that will put a smile back on my face!

Unfortunately though this is my last layout for my design team spot at My Little Bit Of Whimsy. Thanks again Steph for having me on your team. Of course this won't be the last time I use the Whimsy's, they are too cute and I still have a little stash!!

This layout is using October Afternoon Sideswalks and it's just about the little bond forming between these 2 little guys! Cooper starts prep next year so they will get to spend alot more time together:):) Kobi loves music and dancing so he sings to his bubba every now and then!!! It's too cute!

Hope you are all well and had a lovely weekend, thought I would pop by and share my Prima projects for this month:)

The first is the Prima Product Pick........absolutely loving these colours!!

Now we don't celebrate Halloween here in my household, but I couldn't help but alter this Candelbra I found on top of our cabinet collecting dust!

This was so fun, the little bats are just the cutest....and so sparkly:) I used lots of inking and lots of cotton wool pulled apart so it looked like cobwebs! Added a few Prima blooms, leaves and Twisters and here you have it.....

Next up is the Prima Build a Page sketch:)

This pic was of the boys last Christmas and I haven't got around to scrapping it so I pulled out Prima North Country line and went with it!!! I can't believe we are almost back to Christmas again...woo hoo so excited:)

- you are 8kg (yes, he is our big bopper), so that makes him 2 kg's off Kobi and he's only 4 MONTHS old....hehe!

- you are 63.5cm long

- you have only rolled a couple of times from your belly to back

- you have 5 bottles a day, we have tried solids but not quite ready yet

- you get more and more like your daddy everyday but I'm pretty sure you're a Mumma's boy

- you are so happy, content and smiley and love attention

- you are blonde (woo hoo) and blue eyed.......for now

- you are starting to dribble lots

- you have the cutest squeals, giggles and other noises

I could go on and on all day about you Mason, you are the sweetest little guy and we all love you to bits:)

Cutting up the bloomers once again:) I also have had these silhouettes for a while but never had the chance to use them, the butterflies are just so sweet!

Here I have used All About Me again. I couldn't help but add in my fave shade of aqua/turquoise:) It just makes this whole layout pop, I think! I really love this of my boys and I. We are planning on doing up our rumpus room soon, so I might just have plans for this one to go on a wall:)

This is what I was busy with last month........I am Guest Designer for Webster's Pages for the month of October!!! Such an honour to have been able to work with all these gorgeous products. I truly love Webster's:):) They always use beautiful, pretty images on their papers. I got to play with the collections All About Me and Let's Celebrate. They are both really versitile. Here are a couple of layouts I made, I will be back with more soon:):) They were both using All About Me.

Just some closeups too. I chopped up a bloomer and poked a few here and there:) + the Princess Petal set, these layered flowers are gorgeous with a touch of pearl!

In this one I used the hot air balloon print from one of the papers and added on a top section and then embellished with the gorgeous trims and bling! I also used the die cut piece here as my frame, I just teared the edges and distressed them:)

The 1st of October already.....

My gosh were is this year going, it's going extremely quick for me, I just feel like there are not enough hours in the day atm. Cooper goes back to Kindy next week and this will be the last term for him. Then off to big boy school next year:) Kobi will be 3 next month, then Christmas and then come January Tim and I are having a combined 30th birthday party. My gosh, I am going to be 30 soon!!!!!! Whoa, so it's all happening, I better get myself organised:)

Anyways, just wanted to share with you my 2 layouts I created for MLBOW this month (well actually for Sept). The first of Mason using the little lady bug cuties and a mushroom button:)

I have just bought this Martha Stewart butterfly punch (yeah, I am a bit slow).......I'm in love already with it!!!

A beautiful new Prima bloom, Fleur De Lys, so many gorgeous colours in this one too. I just love the print in this My Minds Eye paper too, such a gorgeous colour aswell:)

My second layout features a grey birdie pin, 2 planet pins aswell as some textured buttons for good measure:) This layout is untitled and I am still feeling really wierd about it. I have never not titled something before but I just couldn't work it out on this one, I think it's just way too busy.

So Miss Gracie turned 2 over a month ago and I bought her this cute little outfit, we have only got a chance to take piccies of her in it. So off we went to the gardens for a little fun and photoshoot. So here are just a few of the hundreds I took (not to mention the ones my SIL took). Gracie isn't as well trained as my boys at having photos so getting her to sit still was a challenge:):) + the fact Kobi kept annoying her didn't help either....lol!!!

A very special palette this week at The Color Room. The lovely Lydell and Emma have put this gorgeous kit together featuring the most beautiful images. Pop over here to check it out and have a play. Now I didn't do the digital version......I have never done a digi layout and honestly have no idea where to start (I don't even think I downloaded the kit properly....lol!!) But I just adored these images so much I just had to print them onto white photo paper. I can definately say I had Ingvild's gorgeous, gorgeous style in my mind when I created this:):)

My sweet little Mason, I did try to focus a bit more of the blue and brownish tones to make it a wee bit more "boyish" but hey, boys (especially bubba boys) look pretty cute in purple too:)

The clock face here is a new Prima mirrored piece, these mirrored pieces are so beautiful and easy to work with!! I also featured a mirrored frame at the top left of the piccy! All the blooms are obviously Prima too ;)

The angel wings are from Melissa Frances......just devine and finish off this project:)

So much going on atm, so busy.....so much scrapping to get done this month. My baby has now turned 3 months and weighs a chubba 6.7kg. My boys are still gorgeous...lol.....must take new piccies of them soon. Coop's LOVES kindy (had pj day today) and I can't believe his 3rd term is nearly over. His preppy forms are in:( I hope this next term slows down, I don't think I am ready for a big school boy!! In fact, I think I said that about him starting kindy and it has been the best year, he's learnt so so much!

Okay, I better get off here and start some dinner.

Hi everyone, I hope you are all having a fantastic week! Spring is finally here in Australia....woo hoo!

For the month of September Tattered Angels and Prima are teaming up together:) As you all know I absolutely adore Prima and I never create a layout without using TA mists, so working with them together is always so much fun:) On the 15th September a winner will be announced for this gorgeous prize below. Also be sure to check out the blogs of the DT. They have created some gorgeous projects using these 2 amazing products together. You will definately be inspired:)

Now, I would love to share with you a canvas I made for a friend of a friend:)

"Noah"

I started with my background, being for a boy, I thought stars would be perfect. I have a couple of star shapes (which I just cut myself from chipboard)......I placed them randomly over my canvas and sprayed my little heart out with TA Glimmermist in colours - Turquoise Blue, Jazz Blue, Lime Twist and Cinder. With the excess left on the star I just flick it back onto the canvas:) I then added more art mediums, gesso and inks.

I then teared Prima papers from both Alla Prima and Pixie Glen ranges making a background layer for the picture. I then used a Prima brick mask and applied Gesso and misted a little bit more:)

Next I started to place down my flowers, I must admit I did have them a different way and it just wasn't working for me so I took it all off and started again (hence the reason I never glue anything down straight away). My fave Prima products would have to be the vines.....I love working with them and they are always a starting point for my flower clusters. When I don't have any on hand to work with I do find it much more difficult for some reason.

Lastly I added the title, more Gesso to soften the flowers and loads of gorgeous crystals:) To create the title I just covered chipboard letters with some more Prima pp and just sprayed the bottom of the letter with more Glimmermist.

I have used papers by Websters, Sass and Creative Imaginations. Of course Prima flowers feature along with Melissa Frances frames (I luv these)!! There is also a bit of Bo Bunny in here and the Baby Buggy Transperancy from Hambly:) The crystals are new from Prima and definately a must have.....so many colours to pick from!

I just love this brick mask from Prima, it's so easy to use and so perfect for Mr Humpty to sit on:):)

This one is another layout I created for CHA using the Alla Prima range. It's a beautiful, fun, fresh range with yummy bright colours and polka dots..... I love polka dots:) And yes, I love a bit of bunting or 2...lol!!

This next one is using more of the Printery line, I don't think I have scrapped much grey before but love how this turned out and matched Mason's cute owl beanie:) I also used lots of resins here. Ingvild's resins are just gorgeous, I can't wait to get my hands on more of them:)

I would like to share another of my CHA layouts. This one was using the Printery line. Now I must admit it really doesn't look like the range but I just can't help myself and add loads of colour:):) I guess it just proves how versatile this range is. It's a very neutral range with cute little birdcages, keys and time pieces.

So in love with all of Ingvild's resin pieces, this little bridge is just adorable!

Lots of faves here from this release....Rock Candy, Twisters and of course my fave Prima product of all time, floral vines (any vine will do)!!!

Pretty palette this week in the Color Room. I had a friend with a birthday and thought I would make this page for her of her 2 little girls:):) She loved it.....but this picture really doesn't do it any justice. It is sparkly and much prettier in real life!!

So this is my last month on the Scrap the Boys creative Team:( I thought it was time to step back and hand the job over to all you other fantastic "boy" scrappers out there!!
I can't wait to see who is on the new team:) So this months challange is awesome....just take inspiration from this picture, how cool is this room??

And here is my take on it.....as soon as I saw it I thought nautical (how unusual for me....lol) I went to my local scrap store with OA "seaside"or Webster's "yacht club" in mind.....they didn't have either so I improvised with a bit of paint and lots of bits and pieces:) If you have these papers I think they would be perfect for this challenge!!

"Seaside"

I made the little fences myself.....easy as, just chopped up chipboard with the points at the end. I then cut 2 long strips and glued the smaller ones on top (placing them randomly so it looks a bit shabby). I then just painted (messy) with gesso and crackle paint. I also distressed it by cutting out little bits here and there.

"My Everyday Sunshine"

This was a commissioned canvas piece I made for a friend of a friend's little girl. She just turned 1 and was having a ladybug themed party and wanted a canvas made to put next to her cake and then later on the wall. I used Prima Sweet Fairy papers and of course lots of blooms:) And the supercute ladybugs from MLBOW:):)

So just a few closeups now:) The coloured transparent ladybugs where from Clearcut Crafts. I have had them for ages and never new how to use them....so perfect for this!!!

Oh my, this little cutie pie is now 8 weeks old. He had his needles last week and is a chubby 5.2 kg already. He is just a bit bigger than what Cooper was at the same age....so he's our big boy:) He is extremely snuggly and just loves cuddles all day if he can (he's on my lap right now while I'm typing). He only cat naps through the day 1/2 max here and there if I'm lucky. BUT he does sleep from about 9ish to 5:30ish give or take an hour! I have been soooooo lucky with my newborns to start sleeping through so soon but in saying that, they get worse as they get older...lol!!!

Cooper is a shocker and comes in most nights.

So here is just a few pictures of my beautiful 3:)

Mason is so happy, smiley and loves a chat.....I truly am blessed!!!

This new line, Pixie Glen would have to be the most perfect range for my precious baby boy:) It's adorable, it's cute and it's perfect for boys or girls!! Everything on here is brand new from Prima, the papers, the flowers, the butterflies and the resins. Gosh, I look at this picture of Mason and can't believe how much he has grown already in his short 7 weeks of life....amazing!!

So little Mason has been getting all my camera attention lately I just had to take some new pics of my big boys:):) These two just love each other so much but my god can they fight and whinge........lol!!! Cooper has his first kindy girlfriends party this weekend, he is so excited and it's at Hungry Jacks (which is a first too)!!

And just because he is just soooooo adorable:) I just want to kiss those cheeks all day. He is 6 weeks today and last week I weighed him in at 4.6 kg. I think I might get my chubby bubby this time round:):)

CHA is just about to happen!!!!! My box of Prima samples made it to the US, so excited and can't wait to share all of them with you:) The new Prima is absolutely amazing.........

Gosh, has it really been that long since I last posted. It hasn't been 2 weeks yet but it seems a lifetime ago! I had a very very busy week last week creating for CHA......thankfully I have my mum and MIL close by and they entertained the big boys alot:)

Anyways, here is my layout for Scrap the Boys July Challenge. It is to create a layout using tape and to have the word "Play" in your title.

So my little baby boy is 4 and a half weeks old already....so thought I would share just a few new pics of him:) This one was actually taken at 2 weeks old with his older brothers. I just love this picture of them, so sweet, so natural. They are really good with him and love him to pieces:)

This is my most recent of him that I took yesterday:) He is getting so big so quick.....he is really filling out in the face and getting little chubby legs. I think in the next week he will be out of all his newborn clothes he has worn from the start.

So while I have a few moments of peace I thought I better update my little blog:) Cooper is at Kindy and Tim is out with Kobi until they pick Cooper up. Mason is sleeping.........aaaahhhhh quiet!

Firstly, my little Mason has caught the cold that this household has had:( Poor little guy, but he is fine......had his 2 week checkup yesterday, he's taking his bottles and sleeping fairly well so hopefully it leaves his little system soon. He has filled our hearts with soooooo much love (again), his big brothers are totally smitten with him and have adjusted really well to Mason being around!! So here are just a few pics of our little precious!

On Cloud Nine..............

Wow, if it isn't enough to have had a gorgeous baby boy last week.......I got an email 2 days before Mason was born that I made it to the Prima DT for 2011/2012!!! I am still pinching myself not quite believing it, especially sitting in amongst the other amazing girls on the team:) I hope I can inspire you all on this team as you all know how much I adore Prima. It really is a dream come true.....now to juggle new commitments with a new baby;)

So speaking of Prima, I made this canvas for my gorgeous friend Mel for her 30th. Totally different colour scheme for me but it's what she requested:) I am pretty sure she loved it!!! I am also totally in love with these new Prima Corine flowers:):)

My little man is an angel.....sleeping so well at night, that's all I can ask for:) We had some professional photos of him yesterday and we are all going back for a family shoot at the end of next week. Totally cute, I can't wait to see them:):) I got a couple of pics of the boys with Mason today, they have been fantastic with him.....both been sick so their cuddles have been limited:( Plenty of time for big squeezes though!

Tomorrow is the day....up early and should have our bubba by 9am in the morning. The boys are having a sleepover with Nanny (well actually probably 3 nights). I am going to miss them terribly but I will have another new little person to fall in love with.....amazing how you heart grows bigger the more children you have:):) I can't wait to see the boys faces when the come up to the hospital in the morn....I'm getting all teary thinking about the whole thing!! For "Baby Goona" to come.......I can't say I am fully organised (still no name....narrowed down but we just can't agree....aaarggh!!) but I am ready in myself, I am so uncomfortable, sleeping is not working very well....even with the more I have the worse I feel!!! Just soooo tired all the time and my back is so sore. Not to mention starting to feel very anxious about the c-section....yeah, I have done it twice before but I don't think it gets easier....just like having a natural birth I guess, you never fully forget it!!! I just can't wait to have my baby in my arms though.....every little movement is felt now and you can almost grab it's little foot when it kicks (some even hurt quite a bit)....

Anyways, just a scrappy page I created of my baby boy....soon to be middle child....

Last weekend we took the boys to the gardens to have a little photo shoot before our baby comes...and for Mothers day:) This time round we are going to have professional shots of us all when bubs arrives.....I have never had professional shots of us before so I do hope the boys pose for someone else has gorgeous as they do for me!!!

I hope you like them....such a biased Mummy but I do think I have the spunkiest boys out!!!

Hope you are all having a great weekend so far.....thought I would pop by with some more shares:)

The first is the new Color Room palette #58. My boys in their bunny ears we whipped up for the Kindy Easter bbq. I used mostly Prima papers in this as well as the Imaginarium chippies we were given this month for The Color Room. These flourishes are just gorgeous and really suited this soft palette:)

Another layout I did weeks ago just hadn't shared it yet......and the colours also went perfectly with this palette this week. Pretty much all Prima again. I just love this pic of the boys.....wanting to get a canvas of it I think:)

Some closies.......we recieved chippies from Imaginarium this month....this birdcage is just gorgeous, all I did was distress it with paint and added on a Prima bird rubon:)

Lots of details and layering as usual....also notice my white space...woo hooo!!!!!

So Mother's Day this year didn't exactly turn out how I wanted it to but we have postponed our little outing for this weekend:):) I woke up Sunday morning feeling so horrible. I really couldn't put my finger on what that feeling was, just felt SICK!!! So by lunch Tim took me up to the Mater to get bubs checked out and bubby is perfectly healthy with it's little heartbeat going ten to the dozen on the moniter, it instantly made me feel a little better knowing that. I then just slept and lazed the day away. Monday I still felt off but by the afternoon I came good. The boys have had colds and bouts of asthma last week and just last night poor little Coop's complained of a belly ache and then vomited in our bed.........so come 2am this morning we were changing sheets and comforting the poor little man. I kept him home from Kindy today but he has been fine all day. I just think give us all you can now because we don't want it in 3 or so weeks time when bub arrives.

So that's been us for the last few days.....alls good though and could be much worse!

6 and half weeks to go..........

And counting!!!! Phewwww, what a busy couple of weeks I have had. Easter parade went off without a hitch (I will post piccies soon) and we won our catergory....YAY!!!!!!! Everyone had so much fun so that was the main thing:):) Heading down to the Festival tonight to see Ben10 on stage.....as well as Angelina and Peppa Pig....but it's all about Ben 10 for Coops!!

I took some pics of the boys the other day....I haven't been taking the best pictures of the boys lately but I really like the way these ones turned out:)

Last week we also had Cooper's Easter bbq at the Kindy. The boys were totally freaked out about seeing the Easter Bunny (we had someone dress up) but by the end of the night Cooper told me he shook his hand......Kobi just clung to Daddy like glue! These were the dodgy bunny ears we whipped up that afternoon but they still look a bit cute in them:)

And our precious cargo.......me at 30ish weeks. Had a doc app today, everything seems great.....only put on about 5 or 6 kilos so far!! Doesn't mean my hips still aren't killing me! Starting to get sore and uncomfortable. Now that the Kindy float is over with I can now get more things organised for bubby, I want to make a canvas, rub back and paint my rocking chair, sort out carseats etc etc.......because the weeks are flying by and bubs will be here before we know and we are sooooooo excited!!

Lastly I will leave you with a fun little layout I did a couple of weeks ago.....Sassy cuteness here!

Golly gosh, we are sooo excited to meet this little bub and the boys can't wait either. I think they are going to love their little baby so much, they already do:) I am loving the questions atm "How is baby Goona going to get out".......so glad I can explain the operation on that one with having a c-section....lol!! "Can we feed baby Goona".....they are so adorable, I hope the novelty doesn't wear off too quickly for them:)

Scrap the Boys April challenge is up and it's a good one! So many ways to interpret this challenge, it is to take inspiration from your boys clothing (include the picture in your layout). Okay so who's idea was it to organise the Kindy float for Easter Parade this year.....oh yeah, that would of been me!!!! I have not long come home from a working bee for it at the Kindy. Massive job but I am sure it will all be worth it in 3 weeks time! I will post pics when we complete it but in the mean time it's painting cutouts, making hat's (the theme is Mad Hatter....so very fun and right up my alley), painting signs, organising paperwork, organising everyone for jobs......etc, etc!! So on the 17th of April if you live in the Gladstone area come to the parade and wave to me you won't miss our massive big truck.....although I can't garentee I won't be curled up on a kindy seat asleep.....lol!!!! No, it's going to so much fun for the kids! Anyways, that's my excuse for being a little bit slack around here atm.

Just an update on my bump.....I'm 29 wks, but only 10 weeks to go until we meet "Baby Goona". We can't wait, our only delema is a name.....I have the perfect name and Tim isn't agreeing....arrgggh, I hope I can get my way...it's my turn to pick he picked Kobi....lol!!!!! Mum has just come over now with some curtains she made for the nursery so I best get off here and help her put them up:)

We are celebratting our 50th palette and we have some amazing things to share with you this week. See the gorgeous palette HERE.

You have just come from Ronda's awesome blog.....loved her project this week!! Here is what I created from the "whitewashed" His Room Palette.....

"All mine"

And a few closeups for you:)

I used alot of Gesso, paint and misting to match in with this palette:)

I love collecting bits and pieces from the beach to add to my layouts:)

I hope you like, now onto somethings you may not know about me.........

1. I am from Gladstone, QLD, Australia and I am currently designing for The Color Room, Scrap The Boys, Such Sweet Tierney and My Little Bit of Whimsy.

2. I live with my husband Tim of 8 years (been together 14 yrs though) and our 2 boys, Cooper (4) and Kobi (2). We are expecting our 3rd child in June this year:)

3. On my desk right now you will find a big mess.......I recieved some Prima goodies today that I ordered and I have been admiring them all!!! You will also find glue, pics and layouts of the boys, paintbrushes, tape, a bucket of shells and too many other things to list!!!

4. My favourite colours to work with at the moment are aqua blue (of course....always a fave) and yellow and orange and pink and lime green....oh you know me all the colours of the rainbow will do!!!

5. What kind of themes do I often scrap? I have done a fair few beachy themed layouts lately......I am not the best at journalling I just love to create art and cute themed layouts of my boys:)

6. Where do I scrap? I have our 4th bedroom dedicated to my scrapbooking. I am way to embarressed to put a picture on here (it's way too messy atm). It's a bright lime green room, 2 desks, computer and printer, a black ikea cabinet, black shelves and hooks and overflowing in jars, papers, paints and embellies:)

7. What is my scrapping process? I sometimes have trouble picking a picture and thinking up a title.....but once this is done everything else comes easily. I generally find papers and colours I want to use (usually that match my picture) I then start with painting and misting my background. I then tear and distress my paper. I never glue anything down until I have most of my embellishments sitting in their place. My title and journalling is always the last thing to go on my page......hence the lack of journalling on my pages!

8. My favourite food is anything Potato!

9. My top 3 favourite tools are.....well I don't really use tools, I distress everything by hand, barely own a punch (hopefully soon I will get a new one!!!!) I guess I would say scissors, foam tape and glue...lol!!

10. I get my inspiration from....definately my boys and their cuteness....hehe but lots of scrappers and different sites, I love blog hopping and definately think The Color Room has the most amazing design team and members that I'm never short of inspiration from them:):)

11. Describe a technique I used on my project this week.........Texture! I created lots of texture on my page by placing masking tape down first on my background. I used gesso and scraped it over the top with a bit of chipboard. I also misted butterflies and added more paint....(all very randomly). I curled some paper edges and layered my embellishments on top of each other. I then traced my finger with gesso over most of the embellishments to give it the white washed and shabby look of the beach:)

Some gifts and a step by step:)

I have been making somethings for friends and family lately. The first is for our friends baby girl Aylah. We gave it to her at her Naming Ceremony:)

A card I made for Mum for her birthday last week.......new Gabrielle from Bo Bunny:)

Lastly a canvas I made for another friend that just had their baby girl nearly 2 weeks ago:)

"Chelsea"

I thought I would photograph this one as I went for you all to see how I created it. Excuse the dodgy pics but my light in my scrap room isn't the best!

1. I used gesso on my background and then I stamped randomly with a music sheet stamp.

2. I misted over the shape of a chipboard butterfly.

3. I also did this randomly over the canvas and with the excess mist I dripped and flicked it over it aswell.

3. I then sprayed more mist and let it drip down aswell as some iron inks splattered onto the canvas.

4. I now started to add texture. A bit of muslin wrap and gesso and then misted the butterfly shape over the top again.

5. Adding more of number 4 up the top aswell.

6. On goes the strips of material and doily's.

7. Now tearing and folding up the edges of my patterned paper....(new Prima....yummo) I added these pieces around the material.

8. I painted some old chippie letters I had white and adhered to the canvas. This is now also the point where I started to add my flowers:)

9. Adding more flowers.....I had to have a bit of a fiddle with this bit as they just weren't coming together....eventually I got them all in a place that I was happy with! I also added a chippie butterfly and a new Prima butterfly.

10. Even more flowers.

11. Lastly I added some tiny paper butterflies with some bling and I traced my finger over most of the flowers with gesso to give it a vintage look:)

So there you have it....I hope you enjoyed my little tutorial:) I am really thinking about trying to sell something like this at the markets.....yeah, maybe in my spare time....lol!!!!!

My gorgeous Cooper turned 4 yesterday! I spent the day with him at kindy, he had a fantastic day and at the end of the night he said to Nanny "I had a really good birthday, Nanny, and got lots of nice presents", so glad he had a wonderful day!

We have lots going on at Kindy atm. I am in charge of organising the Easter float that we get to participate in for the Harbour Festival. The theme this year is "Mad Hatter's" so it should be loads of fun. I will post pictures when it all comes together in April. He also has Old McDonald's Farm visiting in a couple of weeks time. He still gets upset when I leave but it's not as many tears just a quivering lip....poor little man, it's breaks my heart. He is definately my little Mumma's boy!

So what is a post without a little bit of scrapping......I created this a few weeks ago just haven't got around to posting it here. I finally used this October afternoon!! I love the bunting paper, I just had to keep chopping it and layering it:)

It's back....YAY!!! For all you Mumma's out there of boys!!! I am thankful to still be on the CT too:):) So this months challenge is "Freeze a moment in time". You have to use a time/date as your title and scrap about that specific moment. For me the first thing that came to mind was my first born, the time he was born and the moment I believed in love at first sight:)

The best feeling..........

As I have sat down at my computer to do a post my baby is giving me little kicks in my belly....I love this feeling!! It is a really strange yet so perfect feeling that this little person is growing inside you. I think I may treasure this moment more than ever as this will be our last baby! This feeling makes up for the sore wisdom teeth and crappy skin at the moment....lol!!!!! Anyway just wanted to share my little happiness for this moment:) On to some scrapbooking!

I used a mixture of Sass, Pink Paislee, Hambly, Prima and My Little Bit Of Whimsy. I also used up some old alphas and placed randomly throughout the layout.

"Delight"

Last weekend we went away for a quick getaway for our 8th Wedding Anniversary (which is today actually!!!!!) with the boys in tow......it was a lovely family resort with a beautiful lagoon pool so we couldn't not take them!!! We all had such a great time! As usual I made all my boys do some posing! This would be my faves so far that I have edited.........

Not bad for a selfie!! It's lovely to get a good one of us, which happens all too rarely!

I really do need an air con in my scrap room!!!! It's soooo hot atm, I am probably feeling it a little more than normal too....so glad to be having a winter baby this time round and it's going to cool down before I get huge...lol!!
