PP and Kobi is 4!!!

Hi everyone, so sorry for the lack of posts here lately!  I have been so busy with life and so many scrap commitments that just can't be shared yet!  Here is one that has been shared over on the Pink Paislee blog.  I used a mix of Portfolio, Artisan Elements and a touch of Spring Jubilee.  I was inspired to use these colours purely because of what the boys where wearing :)

"Little Brothers"

Loads of layering as per normal ;)

And here is the sketch from Valerie Salmon that I created this layout from........

So this little man turned 4 last weekend!!!!!  He woke up on Sunday morning (Saturday was his birthday) and said "Am I going to kindy today Mum, I'm 4 now".  Awww, poor sweetie, had to explain to him that it isn't until after Christmas time!  He  just wants to be a big boy like Cooper and have all of his own friends :)

He also had his immunisations this week, such a brave boy, no tears!!  He also weighed in at 14.5 kg's.........woohoo!!!!  He is making a nice little path for himself just under the 10th centile!  We worry about him being so small but our Doc doesn't feel any need for concern, she just called him a pocket rocket, he certainly is that!!!

So just a couple of pictures of Kobi for his 4th birthday!  Do you like my cake I whipped up Saturday morn.....lol!!!
Love you my handsome little man :)

On Sunday, my bestie had her bubba girl, I can't wait to meet her in January and oh, the photos I am going to take of her!!!  She has a huge mop of long black hair :)  Be ready Sianne, Aunty Stace is going to go gaga over you!!!!

Okay, I need to get off here, my December Daily is calling me!!!  I finished my cover last night, now to get started on the pages!!  Keep it simple, keep it simple......I keep telling myself!!!!

Have a beautiful weekend and thankyou for popping by, I promise I will have more to share soon xo

Welcome to the Shimmerz Paints "We're Thankful" Blog Hop!!

Welcome, welcome, to the Shimmerz Paints "We're Thankful" Blog Hop!

The holidays are quickly approaching, and we will soon be entering into the gift giving season. Before black friday appears though, we want to remember all the things that we are thankful for this year. We've decided to put on a blog hop, telling you things that we are thankful for and along the way we will share with you our own personal favorite Shimmerz Products, and give you the opportunity to win some fabulous prizes!

Have you seen our new collection? It's made up of of 4 new vibez colors, shimmering with golden luster! They will work amazingly with our holiday collection that we are re-releasing for the holidays! If you didn't get the opportunity to snag these last year, now is your chance!

To play along with us, visit the following links, leave a comment everywhere you go, and finally, once you end up on the Shimmerz blog page, tell us something that you are thankful for and what Shimmerz Paint product you wish you had. Make sure to leave a comment everywhere though, because there are a couple of prizes hidden within some of the Ed team, and DT blog posts! (To be eligible to win these, you must have left a comment on their blog hop post.)

So excited to be involved in the Shimmerz blog hop!!  I truly love the Shimmerz product, so easy to use, load of shimmer and the most gorgeous colours :):)  It is actually really hard for me to pick a favourite product so here I will name a few:

Coloringz in Heidi Ho Blue......this colour was released in the Spring Collection in honour of Shimmerz dt talent Heidi Kelley.  It's a gorgeous rich turquoise blue...love it!!!!
Spritz in Sapphire and Carribean Sunset
Enamelz in Sparkliscious
Shimmerz in Tickle Me Turquoise and Antique Lace

I am sure you recognize these colours in my creations :)

I would also like to share today a new project which I recently put up on the Shimmerz blog.  I created a series of Christmas tags for my gifts this year.  Using Shimmerz was super easy and the results I just love!!!

This is how they started out......I used a couple of different masks and applied with texture paste.  I then sprayed my Shimmerz in some Christmas colours.

Then I embellished my tags and finished off by applying Enamelz in Gold Digger :)

I would also love to share a few of my favourite projects using Shimmerz:

Here's all you have to do:
  1. Pick a card that inspired you and make your own card/tag based on it.
  2. Post your Prima-inspired card on our Facebook Fan Page (Prima Marketing Flowers), or on your own blog, on Pinterest, or on any other site.
  3. Please mark your card/tag "Prima's 12 Days of Christmas-Day 1", or Day 2, Day 3, etc. so we know which project inspired you!
  4. Make sure you come back to this post and include your link so we can find the cards!
  5. We will pick 12 wonderful winners on November 30th (one from each card day) to receive some FUN Prima goodies!
Hop over to the Prima blog for all the details and pick your card to inspire you for this challenge.

Here is my Christmas card :

Here I have a step x step for my card if you missed it on the Prima blog:

1. Cut a piece of "Love Ledger" paper (approx 13cm x 13cm) to fit onto the cardstock card. Punch the bottom edge, distress the other 3 sides and adhere to your cardstock.
2. Apply Gesso to the background and add small pieces of washi tape to the background.

3. Cut a piece of ribbon and adhere using foam tape to the middle section of the card.

4. Wrap a piece of string around the card above the ribbon and tie a bow to hold in place at the left hand side. Tie a piece of coloured twine in a bow around the string bow.

5. Layer a piece of calico (slighty bigger than the motif), doily and the deer motif from the North Country paper.

6. Take the Twisters and curl the ends and make it into a circle shape to fit around the motif. Adhere the Twisters.

7. Adhere the extra embellishments, flowers, stars and crystals.

8. Run a small amount of Gesso around the flower edges and string.

9. Attach the word JOY to the string.

I hope you will play along!!!

I also have another couple of cards to share with you today, enjoy :)

Thankyou for visiting me today, I hope you are enjoying your week xo

Some shares and piccies :)

Hello everyone, posting some more projects today.  First, I have a couple of Prima shares that have been seen on their blog recently.

This creation was made for a free day with Prima, no sketch, no colour palette, no theme in mind.  So I just went with it and got artistic as usual.  Man, I love this kids eyes!

Moving onto the November PPP.

These colours were quite challenging for me but I am really enjoying grey atm!  But Red, I still can't do, my least favourite colour to scrap with along with purple!!  Anyway, I managed to get a little red in there.

"Life is Better When You are Laughing"

Oh, I just want to say thanks to Lou for getting me addicted to Florist Vine.........

I also have another Shimmerz project to share today aswell.  I had a mini canvas, 12cm x 12cm, and a wooden initial 'S' sitting around in my scraproom for a while so I decided to add the two together to come up with this decorative piece.

The Shimmerz I used are here:

Blingz in Grinchy Green
Shimmerz in Tickle Me Turquoise and Antique Lace
Vibez in Egg Noggin and Hermit the Frog
Spritz in Treasured Hyme
Coloringz in Lime In Da Coconut and Heidi Ho Blue
Enamalz in Sparklicious

Also added in lots of Prima pretties and a little chipboard.

I really wish my photos would do it justice but the Enamalz on here just makes everything so so sparkly and pretty!

Blending the Shimmerz together to paint the peacock feather.

I have also added colour to the Resin pieces using the Shimmerz.

Well it seems a long time since I have shared some photos here of the boys.  To be honest I have been quite slack with a. taking photos and b. editing the ones I have taken.  So here are some that I took the other day.

My Mason, my gosh, we call him mischief!  He is such a busy 17 month old.  I don't know if I have just forgotten or not but he is into everything and pulls everything out, doesn't play with any of it, just has to pull it out and make mess, I really don't remember Coop and Kobi like this.  He is totally different to his big brothers,  they would never leave my side and still don't, Mason is a different story, he couldn't careless and has no fear!  Just walks off...I am so not used to that!

Lets just say his cuteness certainly makes up for his cheekiness at the moment.

My little Kobi, soon to be 4!  Kindy next year, he is so ready!!  He's still my super sweet boy and I am going to miss having him around so much next year.  Loves his little brother, a little too much and can't keep his hands to himself sometimes....grrrr.....we keep telling him Mason is going to be bigger than him one day....lol!!!  Always looks for his Coopy!

My big boy Cooper.  I am so so proud of how he is doing at school especially as he is one of the youngest (but one of the biggest....hehe).  I could certainly do away with his tantrums atm, I thought kids where meant to get better in this area as they got bigger......anyway, everything is superheros or lego or skylanders!  Still comes into our room every night! He now has a little mattress on the floor next to my side of the bed!

Oh I love this one, dribble and all :)

Even Batman has to mow his yard!

These two are the best of mates.....have their moments naturally but really do get along great!

So this one is a fairly common sight you would see at our place.  Wrestling, fooling around, whatever you like to call it :)

Okay, last photo today is of the boys when we went away a couple of weekends ago.  This was as good as it gets........love it anyway, LOVE them to pieces !!

I also got to meet a very special girl the other day......This girl is so sweet and talented and I'm so so happy I got to meet her and her family :)  Enjoy your holiday Flis x

I really have to get off here now, another project to complete :)

Take care, have a wonderful week and thankyou for popping by xo
